Hi, my name is Annie, and I have been working here at BMW Northwest in Tacoma, WA for a little over 5 years.
Before coming to BMW, I had zero experience in the automotive industry and knew very little about BMWs, although I was raised by car and motorcycle enthusiasts who sparked my interest in vehicles. I started out as a Client Advocate in our Business Development Center making service and sales calls. My passion for BMWs was recognized pretty quickly, and I was promoted to a BMW Genius within six months.
It didn’t take me long to realize why so many people love the brand, not just the vehicles, but the company as a whole. The customers and employees create such an awesome community surrounding the brand. This might sound cliché, but it truly is a tight knit family. The more you learn about everything BMW has engineered into the performance and luxury of these vehicles just leaves a person in awe.
The most exciting part about my job is that I actually get to drive the Ultimate Driving Machine! And the cherry on top is that when I teach customers about BMWs they get excited seeing and feeling my genuine passion.
BMW offers a wide range of training opportunities to its employees; online videos, in-dealer sessions and even the chance to drive a race track from time to time. With the brand and our culture ever evolving, the education and training is never ending.
